Beginners Seminar & Training Days
Going with something totally different for 2021! The likelihood is that we still won’t be able to hold the usual seminar so looking to host a zoom meeting! How exciting is that! A link to the zoom meeting will be put on here and also sent out to all competitors once it has been set up.
Topics covered will include:
- What is a tri?
- What kind of / level of training
- Open water swimming
- What to expect on the day
- What to wear
- Ladies triathlon journeys!!
I’m hoping to get some of our well established Divas to make a short video to share of their experiences!!
We’ll finish off with answering any questions that Divas may have!
The seminar will be led by Sally Napthen (Level 3 Brititsh Triathlon coach) with other triathlon ladies talking about their triathlon/quadrathlon journey from complete novice to all sorts of distances (by video)!
Ladies wishing to register for the zoom seminar should register at https://chestertri.niftyentries.com/Deva-Divas-Seminar . A link to the zoom seminar will be sent out to all Divas registering just before the seminar.
Bring your own tea/coffee, cakes and biscuits!
Deva Divas Training Days
Cycle the Route
Dates TBA for 2021
Something a bit different for 2021 – there will be some ‘cycle the route’ evenings organised. A small group with a coach/bike leader to ride the Divas cycle route. The group will stop at several intervals during the ride with coach/bike leaders answering any questions / giving helpful pointers!
The group will be small and will stay together for the duration of the ride. Doesn’t matter whether you ride a mountain bike or a road bike – it’s all about getting used to the route and picking up useful information! And having fun of course!!
Any Divas wishing to attend a training day MUST pre-register by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. There may be more than one group if numbers are sufficient.
Meeting place will be at the White Gate into the Meadows on the corner of Elizabeth Crescent/Lower Park Road, Queen’s Park, Handbridge CH4 7BB. Time and date TBA.
Eccleston Ferry car park (CH4 9JE)
The swim training evenings will be based from the Kayak/Canoe Club on Sandy Lane. This will give Divas a chance for more open water swim practise in the River Dee. Arrive at the Sandy Lane Kayak Club by 6.30 for a prompt 6.45 pm start in the river.
There will be a chance to ask coaches any questions at each evening. There will be a small charge of £3 per session – tea/coffee and biscuits included.
Ladies wishing to take part in the swim training MUST email Sally on email@example.com as places are limited – hence 3 evenings!
