About the Wirral Multi-Terrain Series
Chester Triathlon Club competes in the Wirral Multi-Terrain Series which is held annually, every Tuesday evening throughout September. Each of the 4 races is held over various terrain such as sand, rocks, mud and hills at distances between 6.5k and 8k.
There are trophies for overall Team and individual age groups (best 3 races). There are 5 counters for the Men’s team and 3 for the Women’s team.
These races are very popular with runners from our Tuesday night groups and are great socials and good warm ups for the Borders and XC Leagues.
Since 2021 entry is online and chip timing is used to gather the results. NOTE: this means that entry fees are a little more than the historic fee of £1 per race, and are now £5 per race (£2 per race for Juniors) or £18 for the whole series.
Minimum age on the night is 15 for the Senior races.
Junior (U.15 and 11 and over) races will be approx. 2 miles.
Second claim runners may participate if their first claim club does not participate in the competition.
The rules for the series are available here.
Results from 2021 onwards can be found here.
Results previous to 2021 are available here.
