Run Leader
Karl is a UKA LiRF Run Leader and helps lead on our Tuesday night runs.
My running life started in 1980 when I was a founder member of Oswestry Olympians AC. Back then I was a 100/200m runner (which probably explains why I find distance running difficult at times) and over the next few years would achieve a number of medal winning performances, culminating in representing Shropshire at the English Schools Championships. I also held the Shropshire AAA U13 100m record for 10 years.

I moved to Chester a few years ago, and after some years away from competitive sport decided to dip my toe into running again. As I am also a keen cyclist, I fancied something different.

Looking around, I found Chester Triathlon Club. I have always found the club willing and able to cater for athletes of all levels, and to be inclusive and friendly. I have now completed a number of 5/10k races, Sprint triathlons, and 3 years ago my first Olympic Triathlon.
