Coach Biog
I came into Tri from a running background having started in 1982. I joined Tattenhall Runners initially and have fond memories of our regular runs on and around the Sandstone Trail. I moved on to CEPAC which is now West Cheshire AC and, after a few years in the wilderness, followed my wife Jan into Chester Tri.
The Half Marathon is my favourite event but I do enjoy training up for and competing in marathons. My one claim to fame is that I used to script for comics and this included writing for the Alf Tupper, Tough of the Track series. One year I was asked to write a Tupper story for the Hotspur Annual and got away with casting myself as the dastardly rival runner who would stop at nothing to nobble our hero.
I am also a Purple Sash Lau Gar Kung Fu and a Reiki Master.
