Christleton 5k: It's back!
Good news: the Christleton 5k will be on this year after all! After 24 years in charge, Tattenhall Runners have agreed to hand the race over to Chester Tri so that it can go ahead in 2012 and future years. Chris Morgan will be the race director for this event, which is provisionally scheduled to run as usual on a Friday evening in late May. More details will appear on the Christleton 5k pages of the website when arrangements have been finalised.
Membership: some clarification
On Monday everyone who was a member in 2011 had an email reminding them to renew. If you have renewed since 1st December or you are a life member you can ignore this - your renewal has been processed. You can check this by looking at your membership dates on the website (you must be logged in to see this).
If you haven't already renewed your membership you have until 1st February to renew at existing prices (£20 individual/£17 joint/£10 concessions). You can do this here and either pay online or by cheque. After 1st February the adult fees will increase to £25/£22/£12.50 for the rest of the year. Junior fees are £10 all year. Don't forget to leave the EA box ticked and pay the £5 fee to do Borders League events and to get discounts on other road races you enter.
On another related matter Chester Tri seems to be missing from the British Triathlon website. Nania is investigating - don't join until the club appears as you get £11 discount for being a member of the club!
