Are you a Cat or are you a Mouse?
The Cat and Mouse ride follows our successful Cheshire Cycleway ride last year. There will be two rides; the Cats will do a long ride setting off from Chester. Will they catch the Mice?
Both the Mice and the Cats will leave their different start locations at the same time. The Mice will have approximately 25 miles head start over the Cats. The Mice only have to stay in front for about 50 miles as they will turn off to return to Audlem to have tea and cake with the vicar!
Cat: long challenge ride, 100 miles with an ascent of 3902 feet.
Cycling to the start and back at Tarporley (as a tag on) adds 25 miles.
Official start is at the Old Fire Station Chocolate Shop in Tarporley.
08:30: meet at Old Fire Station Chocolate Shop, Tarporley.
09:00: Depart!
See bike route toaster course: 101311.
The route sticks to the Cheshire Cat sportive ride and consequently there are limited places to stop for tea and cake. However, there are plenty of villages to stop at and stock up on all your essential nutritional requirements... of course you may be pretty full up after snacking on mice on your way round.
Mouse: shorter challenge ride, 76 miles with 3902 feet of ascent.
08:30: meet at Old Priest Teahouse, Audlem.
09:00 Depart!
This route takes in the nicest parts of the Cheshire Cat sportive. There are limited places to stop for tea and cake but there are a number of small villages where you can stock up on cheese!
