Summer League Championships

How it works

The format used in previous years was revised for 2016.

The Summer League Championships are based on a club members best 3 Sprint, best 2 Standard, best Middle or best Long Course triathlon.

In addition to the overall male and female Summer Club Champions, awards will be made for individual Champions for Sprint, Olympic, Middle (75-150km) and Long Course (>150km) triathlons in three Age Categories – Seniors, Vets (40-49) and Super-Vets (50+). Age is at end of year.

As in previous years the league table score for each race is calculated using your time as a percentage of the overall winners time.

For example:

Overall Winner’s Time                1:58:18             100%
Chester Tri Member                   2:19:22             84.9%

Almost any triathlon event at any distance can be used as a Summer League qualification race provided it has a minimum number of 150 finishers. The results of most qualifying events locally are entered automatically. Club members can submit their results for other events by filling in a simple form.

Results can be submitted up to 2 weeks before the End of Season Party. Click here to submit your results

Awards for category winners will be presented at the End of Season Party.

Event examples

Local qualifying events (i.e. more than 150 finishers) include Harlech, Chirk, Deva Divas, Liverpool sprint & Standard, Nantwich (Aug), Wirral Sprint, Sundowner Middle, Cholmondeley, Boundary Breeze, Stoke and Bala. (The results of these local events will be submitted automatically into the league table).

However, there are many local events that are too small (under 150 competitors) to qualify, including Mold, Denbigh, Ruthin and Llanwrst.
